CTBT side event at the NPT Review Conference on 28 April
The Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) will be held from 27 April to 22 May 2015 at UN Headquarters in New York. In the margins of the conference, a side event entitled “The Urgency of Action on the CTBT” will take place on 28 April 2015 at 1 pm in the Trusteeship Council. The event is open to delegates, NGO representatives and the media.
On 28 April, CTBTO Executive Secretary, who is in New York to address the conference, will also take part in the daily noon briefing of the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General.

Why not use the CTBT as a basis for moving forward on the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty?
An exhibition on the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) and its verification regime will be shown in the main UN building and will feature components of International Monitoring System stations never shown before in public.
