President Obasanjo visits the CTBTO
The former President of Nigeria, Olu??gun Mathew Okiki?la Ar?mu ?basanj?, visited the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) on 10 March 2015, where he met with Executive Secretary Lassina Zerbo.
The Executive Secretary briefed the President on the latest developments of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) and its organization, including the success of the Integrated Field Exercise IFE14 in Jordan and the status of signatures and ratifications of the Treaty, particularly in Africa (see interactive map).
President ?basanj? reiterated his willingness to help the CTBTO in its universalization and entry into force efforts, particularly in Africa. Zerbo also presented the work of the Group of Eminent Persons (GEM), and invited the President to one of the future meetings in order to brief the Group on his contacts with African leaders.
