The Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) has launched two new areas on its public web site containing information on the declared nuclear test by the Democratic People?s Republic of Korea or DPRK on 9 October 2006.  A dedicated area on the CTBTO?s website presents CTBTO?s findings in connection with the reported nuclear test.  In articles first published in the CTBTO newsletter Spectrum, experts of the CTBTO International Data Centre (IDC) present the technical findings following the announced nuclear test, based on observations by the International Monitoring System (IMS).  The web site area also includes materials such as Security Council Resolution 1718, statements by the then Secretary-General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan, and statements by the Chairperson and the Secretary of the CTBTO Preparatory Commission.  A selection of analytical news articles will be made available as well.  The web site now also presents an updated version of the movie "CTBT: For a Safer and More Secure World".  The movie covers the event in the DPRK on 9 October 2006 with information on observations and analysis made by the CTBTO.  It also contains a statement by the new Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon.  The movie and the dedicated DPRK area are available on the homepage of the CTBTO web site www.ctbto.org.
